Is Priority Plus Financial a Scam?

Main Post:

I got a letter in the mail from them last month, thought it was a government type program when I first called (I attached the mail image in the comments) They aren't, but what they described to me didn't seem right. They say you stop paying your credit cards directly and pay them. After about 30 days, they get the credit card company to agree to a lower amount to payoff and close the card. Apparently it's not a big deal and your credit will recover any hit in about 6 months and the credit card companies will want you back with them again. I did some research and that doesn't seem right. Why would the credit company agree to take less than you owe? Seems suspect to me. Also, why would Priority Plus Financial make it look like a government letter? I mean, I get they want you to open it, but just feels sketchy! Now ever since I've been getting a bunch of emails and calls about settling my debt. Did they put me on a list now?

Who is lying here? Priority Plus Financial or Americor?

Main Post:

I had a call with Priority Plus Financial and spoke with Allison. She told me that with their debt restructure program, that I was guaranteed my credit would improve as soon as I got my first settlement offer. She also said that is typically about 30 days in. I felt uneasy, so I reached out to another company, Americor Financial and asked the guy the same questions. He said that was not true and it would be at least 90 days before I would get my first offer and that my credit wouldn’t start improving until after I got the loan from them to pay off my settled balances after 6-12 months. I asked him about Priority Plus Financial and they said “They are just a wanna be Americor” and they used to do their “backend” but they won’t even work with them anymore. He came across like he was telling the truth, but still made me feel uneasy about both of them, to be honest. Anyone know the truth about this program?

CMV: Disney Plus will go down as the worst financial decision Disney has ever made.

Main Post:

In 2019, Disney released a bunch of movies that all did really well in the Box Office, including Avengers Endgame, Frozen 2, Star Wars 9, Toy Story 4. The 8 highest grossing films in the US/Canada that year were all Disney films. That was done intentionally to bring people's attention to Disney Plus, their new streaming platform. As it grew quarter to quarter, this product did really well over the pandemic. There wasn't much box office revenue either so this streaming platform became an important lifeline for Disney.

Unfortunately, the content Disney was releasing just wasn't good, probably due to a more significant budget constraint. People got tired and exhausted with Disney content, even in their flagship like Marvel. This resulted in 2023, the year of the flops. Disney can only claim financial success in 2 films this year, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and The Little Mermaid. Everything else was a flop. It wouldn't be a surprise if Disney reports a net loss of $1 billion at the box office this year. Their audience is conditioned to watch Disney content on their platform, and worse yet, conditioned to think that all Disney content is bad, in cinemas or not. It's also this year that their subscriber numbers have plateaued, in combination with an announcement to release ad-tier subscriptions and cut content. There is no sign that any of this is going to recover soon.

Disney Plus is an investment that not only provides minimal financial returns, but also kneecaps another significant source of revenue.

Top Comment: What does the streaming service called Disney Plus have to do with movies you don’t like? Disney plus is a attempt on making money from a streaming service. Your throwing it all on a single heep and call the streaming service a failure.

Capital plus owes SBA money, all of this “resend your ID” “answer security questions” game is just then trying to stall and is essentially not even needed. Wow.
